The University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, (abbreviated as UET Lahore), is a public research university located in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. The university is noted as being highly selective in terms of admissions as around 1800 students, out of 48000 applicants, were selected in 2015 for undergrad studies.The university offers academic programes in undergraduate, post-graduate, and doctoral studies in the disciplines of engineering, business management, law, philosophy, natural and social sciences The university is organized in 7 science faculties with administration of 24 research departments Since its establishment, country's most notable scholars and academicians have been affiliated with UET.
Established in 1921, it is one of the finest institution of higher learning in the country and ranks 3rd in Engineering and Technology by HEC in their latest ranking. In addition, the university ranks at 281 among world engineering universities.The university is one of the oldest universities in South Asia to offer engineering degrees. UET's computer science department was established as a computer center in the year 1968. UET is also the first university to start a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science in Pakistan. UET also has the honour of being one of the first university in Asia to start a Master's degree in computer science in 1978. The university also conducts Engineering College Admission Test (ECAT) every year in the province of Punjab. The university is also a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities

Bahauddin Zakariya University (Urdu: جامعۂ بہاؤالدین زکریا‎) is in Multan, Punjab, Pakistan. It is one of the largest universities in Punjab. Bahauddin Zakariya University was formerly known as Multan University. It was renamed in honor of a Sufi saint Hazrat Baha-ud-din Zakariya (1171-1262). It is a degree awarding institute in more than 60 subjects, including pharmacy, medical, engineering, humanities, business administration, law, art, music, IT, agriculture and languages. The university was ranked at No. 8 in General Category Ranking of 2014 by Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC).
